The formatting of urls in Magento is fundamentally different from that of WordPress. For example, all urls ended with the suffix “.html” which does not exist in WordPress. With the help of specific tools such as Permalink Pro and a fine use of “.htaccess” we created many rules so that the category and product urls are strictly identical to the originals. This is quite a technical job and, let’s be clear, out of reach of most SEO “experts”.  The verdict? A total success.
